Note: this page comes from my time as a college seminarian. The schedule may have changed since I have graduated.

a day in the life of a college seminarian

The life of a college seminarian is unique, because while we are seminarians--studying and being formed for the priesthood--we are also college students.  We get involved both at the seminary and on campus at the university.  Our days can be busy, but it's not that bad. Here's an average day for us:

5:30-6:15am: Wake up!

6:45am: Morning Prayer and Mass

7:30am: Breakfast

8:00am-3:00pm: Classes (everyone's schedule is                                                different, but most classes fall between                                   these times.)

5:15pm: Evening Prayer

5:30pm: Dinner

That's the stuff that pretty much doesn't change. There's some other stuff thrown in there too: adoration, formation night, spritual directon, formation meetings, supervised pastoral ministry, personal prayer time, and time to, of course, just have fun!

Although our days are busy, and just like any other college students, we get stressed, they are also opportunities for grace, for growth, and for an encounter with the person of Jesus Christ.
